Endeavor Celebrates Midland Habitat for Humanity 179th Home Dedication

Midland Habitat for Humanity (MHFH) dedicated its 179th house, located at 813 Wolfberry Court, to a deserving homeowner. The house was funded by local oil and gas operator Endeavor Energy Resources, LP (EER) and individual donors to MHFH’s year-end campaign.

Late last year, more than 300 EER employees spent approximately 900 hours volunteering on the job site, at the Habitat ReStore, and in the office. EER has a history of supporting MHFH’s mission and building homes for local families as part of the company’s employee volunteer service initiatives in the Midland community.

“Working with Midland Habitat is one of EER’s most anticipated service opportunities of the year,” said Wesley Robertson, Land Manager for Endeavor and Midland Habitat for Humanity Board Member. “With financial and volunteer support, we are able to help a local family each year achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance that comes with home ownership. Our employees truly value being part of this experience.”

EER is committed to supporting local communities in the Midland Basin where the company operates and its employees live and work. Each year, the company sponsors many charitable causes and hosts quarterly service opportunities where employees volunteer a combined 1,500+ hours to community-serving organizations, such as MHFH. MHFH is one of the premier institutions responsible for constructing affordable housing in the Permian Basin. The organization’s partnership model offers deserving, hard-working families a hand-up. MHFH uses a rigorous qualifying process that includes progress from the application through homeownership. Each participant contributes a minimum of 350 hours of “sweat equity” on the worksite and completes a homeownership education program. Successful candidates are then awarded a 0% interest mortgage, making homeownership a reality for some of the neediest families in the Permian Basin.

Anyone interested in supporting MHFH’s efforts in the Permian Basin can contact Jeff Meyers, Chief of Staff, at 432-686-8877.

Midland Habitat for Humanity is a Christian based non-profit organization that builds homes for low-income families trapped in substandard housing. Homeowners make house payments to Habitat with a 0% interest, 25-year mortgage. These house payments go into a fund to build more homes.
