Endeavor Joins Midland West Rotary Club to Raise Funds for Midland College
Endeavor supported the Midland West Rotary Club by sponsoring the 2022 Shoot for the Future Clay Shoot! Funds raised at the event directly impact the Rotary Club’s mission to support vocational education at Midland College through Applied Technology programs. The unique curriculum offered has prepared some of Endeavor’s team members for their current professions with education and certification in Energy Technology, Diesel Technology, Welding, CDL, and more. Thanks to the generosity of the Midland community, the Rotary Club was able to fund 20 scholarships for students pursuing degrees in technical fields because of fundraising from this event.
Founded over five decades ago, the Midland West Rotary Club has since been active in local and worldwide community service projects, including areas such as literacy, health, and water. Recently, Midland West Rotary Club has provided relief funds for Ukrainian refugees, assisting them with transportation, food, necessities, and housing.
“The future growth of our West Texas economy depends upon a diverse workforce with skills in energy, diesel, and automotive technologies. These jobs fuel our local economy and provide tremendous support for Permian Basin businesses,” said Tom Jones, Vice President of the Midland West Rotary Club Board of Directors. “Our scholarships typically support students who not only take evening classes but also have families and full-time jobs. We’re proud to serve these ambitious and dedicated individuals.”
