Endeavor Sponsors State of Midland Luncheon Featuring Panel Discussion with Midland’s Chief Elected Officials
Endeavor proudly sponsored the 2021 State of Midland Luncheon hosted by the Midland Chamber of Commerce. This event featured a moderated panel discussion comprised of chief elected officials from our city’s taxing entities. The speakers included Judge Terry Johnson, Mayor Patrick Payton, Midland Health Board President Jeff Beard, Midland College Chairperson Paul Morris, and Midland ISD Board President Bryan Murry. This event provided a platform for Midland to come together to learn about current topics and issues facing our community.
The panel discussion covered West Texas’s approach to the COVID-19 pandemic, current infrastructure and drinking water, the future of preventative health care, tax proposals that will be on upcoming ballots, and the vision for Midland’s future. Mayor Patrick Payton shared what he is working on with mayors from other energy cities in collaboration with the Permian Strategic Partnership. There was also a call to action for citizens in their 30’s to attend city council meetings and to get involved in other capacities.
